John McDonnell Field

John McDonnell Field at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville officially opened in 2006. The facility underwent a significant renovation in preparation for the 2006 Southeastern Conference (SEC) Outdoor Championships, which were held at the newly transformed stadium. The renovation included rebuilding the original 2,000-seat venue into a state-of-the-art facility with a capacity of 7,000 spectators, expandable to 10,000 with additional seating. ?
The field is named after legendary coach John McDonnell, who led the Razorbacks to 42 NCAA championships during his 36-year tenure.
