Franklin Field is a legendary sports stadium located at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and it?s considered the oldest college football stadium in the United States, with continuous use since it opened in 1895. Built originally for the Penn Relays and Penn Quakers football, it has become an iconic venue known for its architectural firsts and deep sports legacy.

With a current capacity of around 52,000, Franklin Field was the first stadium to have a scoreboard, the first to use a two-tiered grandstand, and the first NFL stadium with artificial turf (in 1969). It was also home to the Philadelphia Eagles from 1958 to 1970 and hosted the 1960 NFL Championship Game, where the Eagles famously beat Vince Lombardi?s Packers.
